About Idaho High Desert Chapter (IHDC) Chapter

The Idaho High Desert Chapter is a dedicated group of building safety professionals committed to advancing public safety and resilient communities through education, collaboration, and the consistent application of building codes. Our mission is to foster professional growth, share knowledge, and uphold the highest standards of code enforcement and construction practices, while actively educating the community and inspiring the next generation of tradesmen and tradeswomen.

Our goal is to build upon current successes and support future generations of code officials, architects, engineers, designers, builders, and developers by providing comprehensive education and fostering collaboration to create awareness and uniformity off ICC codes. Our mission is three-fold: Promote Uniformity and Consistency in the application of Building Codes Promotion of Public Health and Safety through Education, Training, and active participation in Code Development. Promotion of Public Awareness: Recognizing the role of Building Safety Departments in Southern & Central Idaho.
